Precincts Around the Country are Beginning to use a New App to Monitor Facebook for 'Anti-Police' Sediment
Privacy settings do not stop this particular app from collecting the data needed for the police department to develop the callers anti-police rating. The app then links the anti-police sediment to a particular mobile device. If the said caller uses a computer to make any posts, when the data is downloaded to the mobile device the police can then gather the data.
Police departments around the country are excited to try out the new application. Currently in the works is another app that will track the locations of the public that are more anti-police. So if your neighbors have been posting hatred towards policemen, cops will be less likely to patrol that area and less likely to respond to your requests.
This new way of policing has many people up in arms about privacy. Some people believe what they post on the world wide web should be private. As this app spreads across the country we expect to see quite a bit of outrage amongst social media users.
